On Day 5 of the fourth Test match between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 13 (Monday), Indian players appeared to be in a jovial mood. With the match headed towards a draw, Indian players on the field were heard on the stump mic cracking all kinds of jokes. Former India captain Virat Kohli, in particular, was heard loud and clear as he made some funny remarks.

At one point during the day, Kohli was heard saying, "10 minutes mein khatm kar de match. Plane mein pehle baithjaunga. Aaj plane main udaunga (Finish the match in 10 minutes. I will sit in the plane first. I will fly the plane today)."

In another instance, Kohli was heard cheering Ashwin after the off-spinner started the over well. Kohli said, "Yeaaaahhh, Yes Ash, Yes Ash, yahi pe daal chaar ball Ash (bowl four balls in this area), Yes Ash."

Probably the best moment of the day transpired when Kohli tried to roast on-field umpire, Nitin Menon. After Aussie opener Travis Head survived an umpire's call, Kohli shouted, "Mein hota to out tha. Mein hota to pakka out that (If I was there, I would have been adjudged out."

The Indian umpire gave a thumbs-up to Kohli with a bright smile on his face.

Kohlil returned to his old self on the ground after ending his century drought in Test cricket on March 12 (Sunday). The stylish batter registered his 28th Test and 75th international century, ending a 1,204-day hundred drought in red-ball cricket. After toiling hard for 364 balls, Kohli was finally dismissed for 186 runs by Todd Murphy. In his innings, the maverick batter struck 15 fours while the hallmark of his knock was running between the wickets.
