Earlier, Shreyanka earned her first ODI call-up after an impressive performance in the T20I series against Heather Knight's England, where she secured the ‘Player of the Match’ award in the third and final game.

The 21-year-old took the place of left-arm spinner Saika Ishaque, who had figures of 6-0-48-0 in the first ODI on December 28. Smriti Mandhana also returned to the playing XI, replacing Shafali Verma.

Shreyanka's journey has seen remarkable progress since her stint with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Women's Premier League (WPL). Following that, she represented the India Emerging team in the Asia Cup and went on to play for India A in the series against England.

At just 21 years old, she achieved another milestone by becoming the first Indian woman to participate in the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL). Her outstanding performance for the Guyana Amazon Warriors included picking up nine wickets, making her the leading wicket-taker of the tournament.

India find themselves in a must-win situation after a six-wicket loss in the first game. Despite Jemimah Rodrigues and Pooja Vastrakar contributing scores of 82 and an unbeaten 62, India's total of 283 wasn't enough.

Australia successfully chased down the target with 21 balls to spare. Phoebe Litchfield, Ellyse Perry, and Tahlia McGrath made significant contributions with scores of 78, 75, and an unbeaten 68, respectively, guiding the visiting team to victory. Beth Mooney also played a crucial role with a knock of 42.
