The Indian team is considering playing three spinners against Bangladesh in the second Test, which begins Friday at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium. Following their comprehensive 280-run victory in the series opener in Chennai, India currently leads 1-0. In Chennai, the Rohit Sharma-led side opted for three pacers, including Akash Deep, alongside experienced bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. However, given the nature of the black soil pitch in Kanpur, Akash Deep may be replaced by local hero Kuldeep Yadav. This tactical change would allow India to exploit the conditions better and potentially dominate the Bangladesh batting lineup.

Green Park's pitch report
The pitch curator at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium, the venue for the second Test, has prepared two pitch options. One pitch is made of black soil, which is the traditional preparation method for this ground and favors spinners. The other pitch is similar to the one used in Chennai, offering a balance of conditions for both batsmen and bowlers.
India remains undecided about playing three spinners in the second Test against Bangladesh. Assistant coach Abhishek Nayar stated that the decision will depend on the pitch conditions and overhead conditions on the morning of the match. If India chooses to play three spinners in Kanpur, either Axar Patel or Kuldeep Yadav could be the additional spinner. When asked about Kuldeep's potential inclusion in the home match, Nayar did not provide a definitive answer.
"To be honest, I don't know which surface we are going to play on yet. Both the pitches look pretty good. Kanpur is often known to have good pitches. I am not sure about the bounce yet," Nayar said during the pre-match press conference on September 26.
