India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the 2nd Test

Jasprit Bumrah took 6 wickets in the match.

Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team came over against all odds to pull off a famous 7-wicket win against Najmul Hossain Shanto's Bangladesh in the second and final Test of the two-match series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, on October 1 (Tuesday). Jasprit Bumrah was once again the star of the bowling unit as he picked up 6 wickets across two innings in the match and played a major role in India's astonishing victory.

This win will be one of the memorable ones as only 35 overs were bowled in the first three days with two and a half of them getting washed out due to rain but the Indian side made a stunning comeback in the final two days. Jasprit Bumrah also talked about the challenges the bowlers faced during this match and how despite them they not only came over them but also won the match for their side while racing against time.

Bumrah on the challenges

"It feels really good. I don't think about all those adjectives (being called a magician). It is really good to get this win, we had lost a couple of days.. the way we batted yesterday and it was a test for our fitness as well as you see how hot the weather is, bowling every day and trying to create an impact, a really special win. You use your experience but it is easier said than done, because you have played a lot of cricket and played on different surfaces you find solutions, this wicket was completely different to what we got in Chennai, so quickly communicated with the others and tried to find the best option," said Jasprit Bumrah in the post-match presentation.

"I like that challenge when you go against your nature, conditions are not favourable, the wicket is not favourable, how do you get answers, all of these battles I really like. We have played a lot of cricket in India, you understand the nature of the wicket and the SG ball sometimes reverses as well but sometimes because of the humidity you are not able to keep the ball dry, so you find solutions and discuss it with other players as well," he added.

Jasprit Bumrah will not be a part of the T20I squad which will face Bangladesh in the three-match series. He will be given rest and will most likely make his next return to the cricketing field with the upcoming Test series against New Zealand which will be extremely crucial for them to stay on top of their World Test Championship campaign.
