India's young batter and speedster Mohammed Siraj was awarded the Impact Fielder of India vs Bangladesh two Test match series where India claimed a seven-wicket win against the visitors at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur to whitewash the series.
After India's series win, fielding coach T Dilip held the traditional medal ceremony in the dressing room to adjudge the best fielder. Jaiswal and Siraj emerged as the joint winners, pipping captain Rohit Sharma to grab the medal.
BCCI took their 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) to announced best fielder of India vs Bangladesh Test series.
"Turning every moment to an opportunity to make a difference and to be a password reviewer, it's outstanding and it's none other than Mohammed Siraj. Yeah, very good! Content number three, when it comes to catching, I think he is as reliable as Swiss watch, and he is Rohit Sharma" said T Dilip.
"I think someone who has really shown his strong reflexes and really has very very composed when it comes to catching everything. KL Rahul has done some very excellent work. I think this time around we are two winners for this because I felt the effort at which we went about and Rohit said our catching percentage in this test was 9% which is really appreciable. I thought two people deserved this medal and someone who had every game passed on showed a lot of intent and none other than Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj" T Dilip added.
Win Bangladesh series win India have win 18 consecutive Test series at home this is most by any team. Men in Blue last lost a Test series at home in 2013 against England.
India will now host New Zealand for the three Test match series scheduled to start from October 16 after that Rohit Sharma-led side will travel to Australia for Border-Gavaskar series.
