Indian captain Rohit Sharma picked a nearly impossible catch during the 2nd Test against Bangladesh on Day 4 at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. He picked up Litton Das's catch which helped India to bundle out Bangladesh early. India were seen doing aggressive displays of batting and bowling following two successive washouts on Day 2 and 3.
India registered a seven-wicket win in the second Test match. Rohit's one-handed catch was one of the stood-out moments of the game.
“The timing had to be good because otherwise, if you don't time the jump well, it is very easy to miss on. I would say I was lucky enough to hold on to it. I put the jump at the right time and put my hand to the right place at the right time,” Rohit said.
"I think someone who has really shown his strong reflexes and really has very very composed when it comes to catching everything. KL Rahul has done some very excellent work. I think this time around we are two winners for this because I felt the effort at which we went about and Rohit said our catching percentage in this test was 9% which is really appreciable. I thought two people deserved this medal and someone who had every game passed on showed a lot of intent and none other than Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj" T Dilip added.
India defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the two-Test match series now the Men in Blue will face New Zealand for three Test match series scheduled to start from October 16.
