India vs Bangladesh at Lunch on Day 2

Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep struck early for India, reducing Bangladesh to 26/3 in just seven overs, leaving them trailing by 350 runs at lunch on day two of the first Test in Chennai. Earlier, veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored with a solid 113, helping India finish their first innings at 376 in 91.2 overs.

India struck in the opening over when Bumrah changed his angle, coming around the wicket and getting one to nip back in, hitting the top of off-stump and dismissing Shadman Islam. With Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj bowling aggressive lengths, it was a tough start for the Bangladeshi batters.

In the final over before lunch, Akash Deep took down Zakir Hasan's middle stump with a nip-backer from wide of the crease. On the very next ball, he bowled Mominul Haque with another nip-backer that went past the batter’s forward defence to hit the off-stump, resulting in seven wickets falling during the first session.
