Despite losing the three-match series 2-1, Bangladesh's victory in the final ODI against New Zealand provided them with a significant morale boost. 

Kane Williamson, who was initially slated to lead the Kiwis in the T20I series, made a return to competitive cricket in the World Cup after dealing with injury issues for about seven months.
