After losing first match, Pakistan receive major boost as three players join squad ahead of 2nd Bangladesh Test

Highlights:

Bangladesh have defeated Pakistan in 1st Test match.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh for the second Test match on August 30.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have updated their squad for the second Test match against Bangladesh which is scheduled to start from August 30. Shan Masood & Co. have lost the first Test match against the visitors by 10 wickets at Rawalpindi Stadium in Rawalpindi. Hosts Pakistan were featured with all the pacers in the first Test match saying that the pitch would help speedsters but the spinners got more wickets. 

 

Now PCB have added Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have been reintroduced to the squad after being released before the first Test. Apart from them, Shaheen Shah Afridi who left the squad after the first Test match to meet his newborn baby has also joined the squad for the second Test match. 

 

The side have also added  Aamir Jamal, who was initially released to focus on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has been recalled. Aamir’s participation in the second Test, however, remains contingent on fitness clearance.

Bangladesh have created history in the first Test match by defeating hosts Pakistan for the first time in the history of the longest format of the game. The visitors now lead 1-0 in the two Test match series.

Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Aamir Jamal (subject to fitness), Abrar Ahmed, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicket-keeper) and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
