On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis held the record for highest score of unbeaten 147 in the league.

Opening the innings for Melbourne Stars, skipper Maxwell took the attacking approach from the second over itself against Hobart Hurricanes bowlers. He reached his half-century from just 20 deliveries in the last over of the powerplay overs. It Is also the second-fastest fifty by a Stars’ batter.

Maxwell continued to hit big and reached his century in the 11th over of Stars’ innings. Batting at no.4, Stoinis joined Maxwell in the middle in 12th over. The two shared an unbeaten 132-run partnership for the third wicket off just 66 deliveries.
