ICC announces Champions Trophy 2025 prize money: Check cash prize for winners, runners-up, semifinalists, group finishers in INR and USD

Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to start from February 19.

Champions Trophy winning team will get $2.24 million (USD) (19,45,92,415.81 INR).

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced prize money for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 where the winning team will get a whopping $2.24 million (USD) (19.45 crore INR). The runners-up will get $1.12 million (9.72 crore INR) and the semifinalists will receive $560,000 (4.86 crore). 

The cricket governing body ICC has increased the total prize pool by 53 per cent from the 2017 edition, reaching $6.9 million. Teams who are featured in the Champions Trophy will get $34,000 (28.5 lakh INR) for every group stage win in the mega event.

Teams who will end their campaign on the fifth and sixth numbers will receive $350,000 (3.04 crore). The teams who will end their campaign as seventh and eighth will receive $140,000 (1.21 crore). 

Apart from this, all teams who will feature in the mega event will receive $125,000 (1.08 crore INR) each for participating in the showpiece event.

The substantial prize pot underscores the ICC's ongoing commitment to investing in the sport and maintaining the global prestige of our events" said ICC chairman Jay Shah as quoted by ICC

"Beyond the financial incentive, this tournament ignites fierce competition, captivates fans worldwide, and plays a vital role in fostering the growth and long-term sustainability of cricket for future generations" Shah added. 

Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to start from February 19. The mega event will be played in a hybrid model where matches featuring India and one of the semifinals will take place in Dubai and the rest of the tournament will take place in Pakistan's Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. The venue for the final also depends on India's performance, if the Men in Green qualifies for the summit clash it will take place in Dubai. Otherwise, the title decider will be hosted by Pakistan. 

Defending Champions Pakistan will play the tournament opener against New Zealand on February 19. India will start their campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh in Dubai. The high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will take place on 23 February at the same venue.
