India speedster Mohammed Shami will likely to miss the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash against New Zealand, which will take place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Team India have already qualified for the semifinal, but the third group-stage clash will decide their opponents for the semifinal.
As per news agency PTI, during India's practice sessions on Friday, there were indications that Arshdeep Singh will make his Champions Trophy debut in the upcoming clash against New Zealand.
PTI reported that Arshdeep trained under the watchful eyes of bowling coach Morne Morkel, bowling 13 overs with full run-up while Shami only bowled 6-7 overs with a curtailed run-up. He was not bowling full steam.

During India's last outing against Pakistan on February 23, Shami had received treatment in his right leg from the physios just after bowling his third over of the innings during the powerplay.
