PCB takes big step for fans in Lahore.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declared that it would offer free Iftar to spectators at the second semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy between New Zealand and South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday in an effort to draw fans and improve the match-day experience for supporters. Iftar boxes, which are said to include dates, juice, and a tiny pizza, will be given to those who have valid match tickets.

Free Iftar for fans

The goal of this project is to enhance the match-day experience for spectators who are fasting during the month of Ramadan. There will be free Iftar as well as food and beverages for sale at the stadium's food stands. Iftar will be served at 6:05 p.m., while the semifinal match will begin at 2:00 p.m.

In the second semifinal of the Champions Trophy on Wednesday, New Zealand defeated South Africa by a massive 362 for six thanks to fluent centuries from Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson.

After captain Mitchell Santner elected to bat, Williamson hammered 102 off 94 balls with 10 fours and two maximums, while Ravindra delivered a 101-ball 108-run effort that was studded with 13 fours and a six. The fireworks in the slogovers came from Glenn Phillips (49, not out) and Daryl Mitchell (49). Wiaan Mulder (1/48), Kagiso Rabada (2/70), and Lungi Ngidi (3/72) were among the wickets taken by SA.

This is the final Champions Trophy game which will be played in Pakistan. As India have qualified for the Final of the mega tournament, the grand finale has been moved to Dubai, just like the 1st semi-final.
