New Zealand star all-rounder Rachin Ravindra who is currently featuring in the tri-nation series involving Pakistan and New Zealand got injured during the first ODI against Pakistan. The star player was left bleeding after a ball hit him on his head. The medics ran towards him as the whole Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore turned silent at the sight of the horrific incident. Ravindra was taken off the field by the medical team.

Rachin's IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings also took their 'X' formerly known as Twitter to post about the star all-rounder.

The incident happened after Khushdil Shah struck Michael Bracewell's ball for a sweep, Rachin, who was fielding in deep mid-wicket, went to catch the ball. With his fingers pointing up, Rachin tried to take the ball flat, but it smashed right through his hand and into his head. The player was hit and instantly went down. Thankfully, after receiving medical attention, the player got up and left the field.

Rachin who is the part of New Zealand squad scored 25 runs in the first ODI and the star all-rounder is also the part of Blackcaps squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. 

Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to start from February 19 and New Zealand will play the tournament opener against Pakistan at the National Stadium in Karachi.
