Former India captain Virat Kohli was spotted acting Shreyas Iyer's fielding blunder during ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash against New Zealand. Kohli leaves fans in splits when he mimicked Iyer's blunder during the chase. The star batter stole the limelight with his funny act at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. 

The incident happened when Iyer, fielding inside the 30-yard circle, lost sight of the ball while trying to collect it near his feet. He spun around in confusion, unable to locate the ball immediately. Fortunately, it had not travelled past him, but Iyer struggled to spot it quickly as he lost his balance.

In the same over, Kohli approached Iyer and engaged in a humorous exchange. Kohli teased Iyer for his fielding mishap. The clip of the incident went viral on social media, here is the video. 

Coming back to the India vs New Zealand clash, after being asked to bat, India's top order failed to perform as the Men in Blue lost three wickets in the powerplay. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli got out after scoring 15, 2, 11 runs respectively. Shreyas Iyer was the highest run-getter scoring 79 runs that helped the Rohit-led side to score 249 runs. 

While writing this copy, New Zealand are 177/7, they need 74 runs in 48 balls to win the clash. Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry are looking for a match-winning partnership. The ongoing match, which will decide the fixtures for the semifinals. If India lost to New Zealand, they will face South Africa in the semifinal and if they won, the Men in Blue will lock horns against Australia.
