The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19 and the final of the marquee event will be played on March 9. The 50-over tournament will feature 15 matches which will take place in Pakistan and Dubai.
Team India will play their three league matches in Dubai and the first semifinal will also take place in Dubai. Pakistan's Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi to host matches. Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore host three league matches each. Apart from league matches, Lahore will host the second semifinal of the tournament and they will also host the final if India fails to qualify for the title decider.
What happens if the knockout or final is abandoned because of rain?
There will be a reserve day for the semifinal and final of the Champions Trophy 2025. The first semifinal will take place in Dubai and Lahore will witness second on March 4 and 5 respectively. There will be a three days gap between the semifinal and final of the Champions Trophy and if the knockout clash washed out due to rain then the proceedings will take place on reserve day. The Grandfinale's venue depends upon India's performance as if India qualifies for the final then the clash will take place in Dubai otherwise Lahore will host the title decider. If the final gets abandoned on March 9 then both finalists will lock horns on March 10 which will be a reserve day.

Defending Champions Pakistan will play the tournament's opener clash against New Zealand and last edition's finalists India will play their opener clash against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
