CWG 2022: Kohli, Pant rooting for Harmanpreet & Co. ahead of opener against Australia

India men's cricket stars Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant extended their best wishes to the women's cricket team ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2022 opener between Harmanpreet Kaur-led side and Australia on Friday (July 29).

 

The Indian team is placed in Group A alongside Australia, Pakistan and Barbados.

 

Indian will then meet arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday (July 31) as all the matches in CWG 2022 will be played in T20 format with matches taking place at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

 

Meanwhile, right ahead of the quintessential contest Kohli took to Twitter to post ""My best wishes to the Indian women's cricket team and all our athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games."

 

 

India's star wicketkeeper-batter Pant wished good luck to the Indian women's team ahead of the marquee tournament.

 

"Wishing @BCCIWomen and all our athletes the best for the CWG, rooting for each and every one of you. Jai Hind," tweeted Pant.

 

 

Also, BCCI secretary Jay Shah took to Twitter to extend his best wishes for the Women's cricket team.
