With India A at 270 for six in their second innings, a lead of 333 runs, declaring overnight seemed a viable option to put pressure on India C.

Parag and Rawat's fifties puts India A in good stead
Riyan Parag's 50-run partnership with Shashwat Rawat played a crucial role in India A's strong position in the Duleep Trophy match. Parag, who had previously struggled with low scores in this tournament, would have been relieved to contribute a significant innings. Rawat, already with two fifties and a century, continued to impress with his batting. Rawat, a left-hander from Baroda, showcased his potential with a well-constructed 124-run innings in the first innings. In the second innings, he maintained an aggressive approach, scoring at a run-a-ball rate at times. Despite his aggressive style, Rawat's downfall came when he attempted to play a shot against left-arm spinner Manav Suthar, who bowled a ball that turned sharply.

Three overs before Parag's dismissal, Ruturaj Gaikwad took an impressive one-handed catch to dismiss him off Gaurav Yadav's bowling. Gaikwad's athleticism and timing at extra cover allowed him to take this difficult catch, which was his third of the day.
Earlier, Gaikwad had contributed to India C's success by dismissing Pratham Singh, the first wicket of the innings. Mayank Agarwal, the other opener, was also dismissed by Anshul Kamboj's delivery, which swung significantly.
India C's first innings, which resumed at 216 for seven overnight, came to a close with the fall of their ninth wicket. The team's final score was 234. B. Indrajith, who had retired hurt the previous day, was unable to continue. Avesh Khan, who had already taken one wicket, claimed two more wickets to finish with a total of three for 64.
