Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers has said that the Indian team is adapting to the situation and employing a 'Bazball' approach against England after Yashasvi Jaiswal's brisk start to the first innings on January 25.
De Villiers commented on the start on X and stated that it wasn't necessarily brave or bold cricket from the hosts in Hyderabad; instead, they were playing to the situation. The former Proteas skipper emphasised the importance of identifying crucial moments in the game.
"India batting at 8/9 rpo at the start of their innings here. You don't have to call it brave, bold or bazz ball, it's literally just playing the situation. Identifying moments in a Test match where u can get ahead in the game is what it's all about. When the momentum shifts, u adapt and absorb for a period and wait for that moment again," said De Villiers on X.
