India's 15-member strong squad for the upcoming ODI series against England has been announced. India and England will be playing a three-match ODI series from February 6. India captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced squads for both ODI series against England and Champions Trophy 2025 in a press conference in Mumbai.

Harshit Rana in, Jasprit Bumrah out

India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is there in the squad but Harshit Rana has been kept as his back up. Bumrah who may not be fully fit for the first two matches of the ODI series as he is he is nursing his back injury which he picked up during Border-Gavaskar Trophy and his fitness is being currently monitored. Meanwhile, Harshit Rana will fill in Bumrah's boot in India's ODI squad for England series.

India's star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was team's leading run-scorer in Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, has received his first-ever ODI call-up. But what left everyone surprised was the absence of Mohammed Siraj, who has been omitted from the 15-member squad.

India captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli will return to the ODI format after a six-month absence. India's batting duo look to find their mojo back in the series, especially after their struggles in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia.

Four spinners have been included in the fold in the form of Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will take care of the wicketkeeping duties.

The three-match ODI series is scheduled to get underway from February 6, with matches taking place in Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad. This series will serve as crucial preparation for the Men in Blue as they gear up for the Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to begin on February 19.
