Jacob Bethell picked Shreyas Iyer's wicket during India vs England 1st ODI.

England all-rounder Jacob Bethell who was picked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is overwhelmed by the support in India during the ongoing white ball tour. RCB brought the England all-rounder for a whopping Rs 2.60 crore. 

The 21-year-old recently shared his experience of being cheered by RCB fans during his outing against India in the white ball series.

“RCB is a great franchise, and I've felt the love over here. Every ground I've been to, as soon as I walk onto the pitch, they start chanting: RCB, RCB. There's definitely a lot of support. To play along with the likes of players like that would be really cool,” Bethell was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.

“I see myself as a genuine all-rounder. Whenever, I get the chance to bowl and state my claim, and put us in a good position, I will. It's a massive part of my package,” he added.
 

 

However, the star was unable to get a good start in his India tour as he just scored 23 runs in his three outings in the T20I series. However, he made his comeback in the first ODI by scoring  51 (64) with the help of three fours and a six when England where in the spot of bother. 

He also picked up Shreyas Iyer's wicket (59 off 36) with the ball giving away 18 runs in three overs. Despite his all-round performance England lost the first ODI by four wickets. The star will now feature in the second ODI against England which will take place on February 9.
