India speedster Mohammed Shami who is all ready to make his international comeback after 14 months shared a motivational message for fans. The speedster is all set to make his cricketing comeback in the first T20I against England which will take place in Kolkata's Eden Gardens on January 22.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video where Shami can be seen flying a kite while sharing his comeback story with fans.

"When you are young, our parents reach us how to walk - we fall, we rise - but we never give up learning how to walk - we should never give up that Hunger - even if we fail, we have to get up & walk again - same applies to Sports - if you get injured, you have to make a comeback for your team & country" said Shami in a video shared by BCCI on BCCItv.

"The real test is to realise who is with you during tough times - I waited for an entire year & worked very hard - there was a sense of fear ever while running, it's difficult for any player - to get injured after being in full flow, go to NCA for rehab and then make a comeback" added Shami.

Shami played his last international match in 2023 during the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad where he got an ankle injury that forced him out of action. The speedster made his cricketing comeback through the domestic cricket of Bengal.
