England post 492/3 at stumps

After Pakistan posted 556/10 riding on the hundreds from Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood and Agha Salman, the visitors needed some great performances from their players in order to stay in this match and avoid reeling behind after the first innings and this was ensured by their batters who did not allow Pakistan bowlers to capitalise the massive score on the board or push them on the backfoot.

Despite losing their skipper Ollie Pope for a two-ball duck, England fought back with the help of fifties from Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett and centuries from Joe Root and Harry Brook. They put the visitors in a strong position at the end of stumps day 3. England is batting at 492/3 and are only trailing by 64 runs.
