The England cricket team received a warm traditional welcome upon arriving in Pakistan on Wednesday, October 2, ahead of their Test series against the hosts. The teams are set to face off in three Tests, starting on Monday, October 7. Led by Ben Stokes, the England squad arrived in Multan, the venue for the first Test, and were greeted with enthusiasm.
Upon arriving at their team hotel, the England squad was greeted by the rhythmic beats of Dhol and bagpipes, along with traditional dancers. Inside the hotel, each team member was draped in shawls by the hotel staff and presented with bouquets of flowers, adding to the warm welcome.

Pakistan Cricket are currently struggling as they recently lost a Test series against Bangladesh for the first time in the history of red-ball cricket. Pakistan last won a Test series in February 2021 in Rawalpindi. Pakistan are yet to win a Test match under Shan Masood's leadership.
