Moeen Ali who led the side in the third T20I match, in Morgan’s absence, will continue to lead the side.

On Thursday (January 27) the England and Wales Cricket Board announced that their limited overs skipper will not be able to feature in the remaining two matches of the T20I series. It is understood that Morgan “felt pain in his right quad during the warm-up.”

The official statement

Poor start

The visitors could not start the series well after they suffered a 9-wicket defeat in the first T20I match of the series that was played on January 22, at Kensington Oval, in Bridgetown, Barbados.

In the second match of the series though, things changed as England managed to clinch 1-run victory, in Barbados.

West Indies, batted first and scored a big total of 224 for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the hosts did show a solid batting display but eventually finished their innings scoring 204 runs.
