Harmanpreet Kaur sustained an injury scare during India's final T20I against England on December 10.

India defeated England by five wickets in the third and final T20I at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur shrugged off any injury concerns after experiencing a scare during the third T20I against England.

The incident occurred in the 16th over of the England innings when Harmanpreet faced an injury scare. The Indian captain attempted to catch a mistimed shot from Charlie Dean, but the ball fell short of the ball. While trying to prevent the ball, Harmanpreet jammed her foot on the ground and went down in pain.

Following the incident, Smriti Mandhana assumed the captaincy while Harmanpreet went to the dressing room for medical treatment. Later, she returned to the crease and successfully guided her team to victory as India won the match by five wickets.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Harmanpreet said that she was in good condition and accustomed to such minor discomforts. The India captain observed progress in her team throughout the series, attributing it to the valuable game time they had under their belts.

"I'll be fine. I'm used to these niggles. I know. I still remember what he (WV Raman) said. Don't throw yourself while batting”, said Harmanpreet.

“If I talk about the game, we have improved as a team. We want game time. How many games we keep on playing, we keep improving.”

"The wicket was a bit tricky and we wanted to keep hanging here. Some of the balls were turning and some were going straight. Especially, when the off-spinners were bowling. You had to keep thinking which was going to turn and which wasn't going to turn. Lefty and righty combination did well for us while chasing," she added.

Despite losing the second T20I the day before, where they were dismissed for 80 runs, Harmanpreet and her team maintained composure during the run chase to prevent a series sweep. England won the series 2-1.

India will take on England in the upcoming one-off Test in Mumbai, scheduled to commence on December 14.
