David Warner cracked another century in the ODI World Cup 2023 to equal Sachin Tendulkar's sensational record on Wednesday, October 25. Warner completed his century in 91 balls in the Australia versus Netherlands in their ODI World Cup clash at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi to notch his sixth century in the showpiece event so far. Notably, Tendulkar also scored six centuries across six ODI World Cups in his illustrious career.
Warner is now only behind India's batting maestro Rohit Sharma in terms of smashing most tons in the ODI World Cup history. Rohit recently notched his seventh ODI World Cup century against Afghanistan, when he scored a blistering 131 to guide India to an emphatic victory.

Warner got to his hundred with a boundary off Bas de Leeded in the 39th over. Right after reaching the milestone, Warner celebrated his hundred in typical ‘Pushpa’ style.
Warner ended up scoring 104 off 93 balls before handing a catch to Aryan Dutt in Logan Van Beek's delivery in the 40th over to leave Australian scoreboard steady at 267/5.
This was Warner's second century in the ongoing edition of the ODI World Cup as he struck a lightning 163 off 121 to lead Australia to a cracking victory over Pakistan few days back.
The swashbuckling southpaw, who now have 24 ODI tons against his name, had slammed three hundreds in the last edition of the tournament in 2019 after making his first World Cup ton in 2015 against Afghanistan.
With exceptional knock against Netherlands, Warner also became the fifth player with most runs in the ODI World Cup history. He has so far raked in 1324 runs in a total of 23 matches. Notably Sachin Tendulkar leads the list of most run getters in ODI World Cup with 2278 runs followed by Ricky Ponting (1743), Kumar Sangakkara (1532) and Virat Kohli (1384).
So far in 2023 Warner has amassed 722 runs in 14 ODI matches with a stunning average of 51.57.
