Former India's explosive Virender Sehwag has hailed India's resounding win over Pakistan in the ODI World Cup match at the Narendra Modi stadium as a ‘total demolition’, likening the clash to ‘big boys playing against school kids’. The high-octane encounter saw Pakistan's batting collapse after Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam held the fort to steer team to 155/2. But right after their dismissals led to their monumental collapse as Pakistan were bowled out for a meager 191 runs. In reply, India made the light work of a lowly total set by Pakistan in just 30.3 overs.

In what was anticipated as a fiercely contested showdown, India exhibited an exceptional display, overpowering their arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma displayed another glimpse of his batting masterclass, crafting a commanding 86 runs from 63 balls, propelling his team to chase down the modest target of 192 with a remarkable 19.3 overs to spare.
Indian bowlers broke Pakistan's back as Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Rizwan, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with two wickets each.
Jasprit Bumrah's relentless bowling and Mohammed Siraj's aggressive approach adding to India's dominance. India's victory marked their eighth consecutive triumph over their arch-rivals in the ODI World Cup since 1992.
India will next face Bangladesh on October 19 while Pakistan will be up against Australia on October 20.
