Supporters are eagerly awaiting the India vs Pakistan encounter in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Those fortunate enough to secure tickets for the monumental match on October 14, at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, have even more to look forward to.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organised a pre-match show ahead of the game. The match is scheduled to commence at 2 pm IST, with the toss at 1.30 pm, marking it as a day-night event at the world's largest cricket stadium.

The pre-match show is set to kick off at 12.30 pm IST, allowing fans to enter the stadium a good four hours before the first ball is bowled. Hence, ticket holders for the India vs Pakistan fixture are advised to arrive promptly to avoid missing performances from some of India's leading musical talents.

Who is performing at the pre-match show before IND-Pak clash?
On their X account (formerly Twitter), the BCCI announced that three renowned singers, Arijit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, and Shankar Mahadevan, have been invited to grace the pre-match show on October 14. The 'Musical Odyssey' is slated to start at 12.30 pm IST.

Interestingly, there was no inaugural ceremony for this year's World Cup. The tournament got underway on October 5 with the England vs New Zealand match at the same location. The BCCI opted for a pre-match show for the iconic India vs Pakistan match instead of a grand opening ceremony.

Despite the World Cup's prestige, stadiums have not been seeing full capacities, even for India's matches. This could be attributed to ticketing issues, as fans have reported difficulties during the booking process. Consequently, the BCCI made available thousands more tickets for the India vs Pakistan match. Another factor dissuading fans from attending day matches is the prevailing high temperatures in both northern and southern India, prompting many to turn up only by evening.

However, the India vs Pakistan match is dubbed the 'Mother of All Battles'. It wouldn't be surprising to witness fans queuing up outside the Narendra Modi stadium from early morning.
