The Indian cricket Team fresh from their comprehensive victory over New Zealand in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, is soaking in some relaxation and nature's wonders. With their next high-stakes encounter slated against England on October 29, Indian players and their support staffs are leveraging this brief break to rejuvenate amidst the serene landscapes of the Himalayas.
India's star batter KL Rahul recently shared glimpses of their time spent amidst nature. Candid snapshots showcased him, alongside head coach Rahul Dravid and batting Vikram Rathour, immersing themselves in a refreshing river dip amidst the icy Himalayan waters. Rahul's caption encapsulated the moment perfectly: "Nothing beats nature's ice dip."
India's recent World Cup faceoff against New Zealand unfolded at Dharamsala's HPCA Stadium on October 22, Sunday. Even though the team's subsequent match is slated to be played at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow, it appears several members are still bewitched by Dharamsala's allure and have extended their stay.
Another intriguing snippet from their Dharamsala adventures was of Dravid, who was spotted trekking with the support crew to Triund, a renowned spot in close proximity to Dharamsala. A video shared by the BCCI on the platform X (previously known as Twitter) captured Dravid's awe of the breathtaking vistas, albeit mentioning the trek's challenges. He said, "Superb view coming here after Triund. Just getting here up the mountains and climbing it is a challenging trek, I must admit. Unfortunately, we can't bring the boys up here; it is too risky walking on the stones. But hopefully, on a day off, they get to experience this."
Meanwhile batting coach Rathour didn't hold back in narrating his expedition either. Reflecting on the final stretch of the trek, he observed, "When you are climbing up, the last trek is a bit tricky. The concluding half-hour is demanding, but once the panoramic view unveils, it's worth every step."
With just a handful of days before they switch gears to the cricketing mode, the Indian contingent is set to descend to Lucknow. Awaiting them is a riveting face-off against the defending champions, England on October 29, Sunday.
