India trounced arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets in their third match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 15. Five of the six bowlers took two wickets each, bowling out Pakistan for 193 runs before Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer scored enough runs to take them across the finish line, and to the top of the points table.

After Team India's resounding victory over the neighbouring nation, they extended their win record to eight games without a loss. Meanwhile, after the match, all-rounder Hardik Pandya amusingly stepped into the shoes of an interviewer.

Trying to chat with Ravindra Jadeja, Pandya found him busy on a phone call, cheekily prompting him with 'Phone kappo,' meaning 'Hang up the call.' Mumbai Police, seizing this moment to reinforce road safety, took to Instagram with the video clip, captioning it, "When we spot you on the phone while driving."

In the shared video, Pandya jestingly advises Jadeja, "Phone pe hai, to phone kappo (On a call? Hang up)." This playful exchange was Mumbai Police's creative approach to dissuading drivers from using phones on the road.

Within hours, the Instagram post went viral on social media, eliciting comments such as "Hardik Pandya going places" and praises for Mumbai Police's inventive communication as well.

Pandya made a notable contribution during the game, claiming the wicket of opener Imam-Ul-Haq as his first scalp of the game. His celebrations were passionate, with cameras capturing a moment where he seemed to exchange a 'private word' with the ball before delivering it. This tactic paid off, with Imam edging the ball, leading to a stellar catch by wicketkeeper KL Rahul.

After claiming the batter's wicket, Pandya's elation was evident. He exuberantly celebrated by rushing to his teammates with jubilant shouts. This marked his fourth wicket in the tournament, and the game's dynamics shifted as the established batter, having made 36 runs off 38 deliveries, was dismissed.
