Excitement is building for cricket fans across the globe as the much-awaited Cricket World Cup 2023 tickets are set to launch on August 25. With India gearing up as the host nation, all eyes are on the iconic Eden Gardens, managed by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), as they ramp up preparations to ensure a seamless experience for the attendees.

Located in the heart of Kolkata, Eden Gardens has a storied legacy in the world of cricket. This time, the stadium is slated to host five pivotal matches during the World Cup, including four group games and a crucial semi-final showdown. To maintain the esteemed reputation of the venue and ensure the World Cup progresses without a hitch, the CAB has unveiled a special committee of 12 eminent board members.

One name that stands out in this esteemed group is Sourav Ganguly, the former BCCI President. Ganguly recently inspected the ongoing preparations at Eden Gardens and expressed confidence that everything would be ready on time. With his vast experience in overseeing major cricket events, his involvement is expected to bolster the World Cup's smooth operation.

"Eden's work is going well. The work will be completed in time," Ganguly said.

But Ganguly isn't the only notable figure on this committee. Snehashis Gangopadhyay, the current CAB President, has astutely included five office bearers in the committee. This strategic move is designed to evenly distribute responsibilities and ensure a systematic, efficient approach to orchestrating one of cricket's most significant tournaments.

The formation of this committee came after deliberations at the Apex Council meeting, where the decision received unanimous support. As the Cricket World Cup 2023 approaches, the CAB has also scheduled a unique annual general meeting (AGM) on September 30. However, in a departure from tradition, this year's AGM will not feature any voting.

In conclusion, as the clock ticks down to the Cricket World Cup 2023, the concerted efforts by the CAB and its newly formed committee promise cricket aficionados a world-class experience. The forthcoming days are crucial, and the world watches with bated breath, eager for the spectacle that awaits.
