Sreesanth claimed that India gave the Men in Green a chance to play at such a big stadium.

Former India cricketer and a two-time World Cup winner (2007 T20 and 2011 ODI), S Sreesanth has launched a scathing attack on the Pakistan cricket team and its director Mickey Arthur. Sreesanth's reaction came after Arthur said that he looking forward to playing against India in the ongoing ODI World Cup final. Arthur's remarks came after Pakistan suffered a confidence-shattering defeat against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14 (Saturday).

Sreesanth didn't mince his words while reacting to Arthur's statement and the former Indian bowler affirmed that India's C team or an IPL XI can defeat Pakistan's main team.

"Mickey Arthur said we’ll meet in the final. I don’t think Pakistan can ever beat India in an ICC trophy or in any other event considering the team they have. Even our C team can beat Pakistan’s main XI. Make an IPL XI of players who are not playing, even they can defeat the Pakistan team," Sreesanth told Sportskeeda.

It was not all. Sreesanth had a few more harsh words for Pakistan as he claimed that India gave the Men in Green a chance to play at such a big stadium and that Babar Azam's brigade cannot even dream of playing in big stadiums.

“Pakistan cannot even dream of playing in such a big stadium. We gave them a chance, but if you play like that, you won’t get such chances again,” Sreesanth added.

India vs Pakistan

Talking about the match between India and Pakistan that was played on October 14 (Saturday) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Rohit Sharma's men turned the game into a one-sided contest and secured a commanding seven-wicket victory with 19.3 overs to spare.

Captain Rohit starred with the bat once again and played a scintillating knock of 86 runs with the help of six fours and as many sixes. Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten half-century while the bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, were impeccable in executing their game plan.
