Pakistan suffered an embarrassing 7-wicket loss to India on October 14.With this India surged to top of the points table.

India landed a massive seven-wicket jolt to Pakistan four days back at the Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi stadium on October 14 in their ODI World Cup clash but the Babar Azam's brigade still continue to receive the flak for their embarrassing defeat against arch-rivals. Courtesy to that win, India shot to top of the points table while Pakistan are fourth in the standings.

The latest to launch scathing attack on Pakistan's drubbing is India's former skipper Sourav Ganguly who said that the Men in Green will find is really tough to make a comeback in the ongoing showpiece event.

"During our time Pakistan was a different team, this is not the type of Pakistan team we used to play. This team can't handle the pressure during batting," Sourav Ganguly was quoted as saying by Times Now. "It will be hard for Pakistan to come back in this World Cup with this batting."

Meanwhile, the former BCCI president lauded Team India for their phenomenal show in the ongoing ODI World Cup. He also lavished praised on Indian skipper Rohit. "Rohit played superbly against Pakistan. India's every department is doing well. Batting, bowling and fielding firing together and at the right time," Ganguly added.

Put to bat first Pakistan, despite bolstered by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan's batting, who steered them to 155/2 after early breakthroughs, later faltered badly in front of India's sharp bowling attack. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya combined to rip through the Pakistani batting line-up and rattled them to a paltry total of 191. Later, Rohit Sharma's 86-run blitzkrieg and Shreyas Iyer's brilliant fifty ensured India win the match without breaking a sweat.

Following the match, Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur remarked that the experience of playing in a stadium with a strongly biased atmosphere resembled that of a 'BCCI event.' However, he received a massive flak after his controversial remark.

Arthur had stated: “Look, I'd be lying if I said it didn't. It didn't seem like an ICC event to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn't hear 'Dil Dil Pakistan' coming through the microphones too often tonight. So yes, that does play a role, but I'm not going to use that as an excuse because for us it was about living the moment, it was about the next ball, and it was about how we were going to combat the Indian players tonight”.

Now where India will played their next match against Bangladesh on October 19, Pakistan will lock horns with five-time champions Australia on October 20.
