The Indian team set a challenging score of 229. Yet, it was their bowlers who truly shined during the match. Mohammed Shami led the charge, bagging four wickets and conceding only 22 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah also played a crucial role, securing three wickets for 32 runs. Meanwhile, spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja added to England's woes, claiming two and one wickets, respectively. The collective effort saw England dismissed for just 129 runs in 34.5 overs.

In the post-match discussion, Rohit Sharma praised the diversity and strength of the Indian bowling unit. He underlined the batters' role in setting a platform for the bowlers to shine.

Under Rohit Sharma's insightful leadership, the Indian team showcased an exemplary performance. Rohit's crucial 87-run inning on a challenging pitch set the tone for India. His leadership and performance earned him the 'Player of the Match' accolade in his 100th game as captain.

During his stellar performance, Rohit reached the milestone of 18,000 international runs, becoming the fifth Indian to do so. His inning was adorned with ten boundaries and three maximums. However, his quest for a century ended when Liam Livingstone caught him in the 37th over.

Throughout the World Cup, Rohit Sharma's captaincy has stood out, guiding India to back-to-back wins and an undefeated streak.
