BCCI to announce T20 World Cup 2024, on April 30.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be making the much-awaited announcement of the Indian squad for the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024, on May 1 or May 2. Team India's chief sector Ajit Agarkar will be holding a meeting with the selection committee in Ahmedabad on Tuesday before announcing the squad.

Rohit Sharma to lead the Indian side

BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian team in the mega tournament, earlier this year. The T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States and West Indies. The Men in Blue side will try to end their more than decade-long ICC trophy drought. The selection committee has a big task up their hands as they have to select a 15-member squad but have a big set of players to choose from.

Team India's wicket-keeper dilemma

The wicket-keeper spot is the biggest topic of discussion for the Indian team. Rishabh Pant is the front-runner in this race but players like Sanju Samson, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, and Jitesh Sharma are competing for the same spot. As per many reports, Rishabh Pant is most likely set to make his much-awaited return to the Indian team
