The fever of the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be held in the West Indies and United States is soaring high. All 20 teams are gearing up to put on a show in the marquee event. Before the start of the mega tournament, experts have been making predictions and announcing their picks. In a similar segment, when former cricketers were asked about their potential finalists none of them named former champions Pakistan.
No Pakistan in experts list for T20 World Cup finalists
In a segment of Star Sports, an experts' panel that included Brian Lara, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Chris Morris, S Sreesanth, and Paul Collingwood gave their picks for the possible finalists for the T20 World Cup 2024. The Indian cricket team was the most common name in all of their lists except Collingwood, three of them named Australia and two also picked West Indies. Meanwhile, one vote was for England and South Africa.

However, surprisingly none of them counted Pakistan to make it into the finals of the mega tournament despite being former champions and the runner-ups of the previous edition. The Men in Gree also made it into the semi-finals of the 2021 T20 World Cup
Pakistan's T20 World Cup 2024 Squad
Pakistan is currently in England competing against England in the four-match T20I series in order to prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024. They are currently reeling behind 1-0 after three matches and would try to end it on a high note to enter the mega tournament with lots of confidence. They are placed in Group A with India, Ireland, USA and Canada. The Men in Green will start their campaign against the USA on June 6, then compete against their arch-rivals India on, June 9.
