Michael Vaughan trolls journalist with a stunning reply.

Jos Buttler-led England cricket team suffered a 7-run loss against Aiden Markram's South Africa in match 47 of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia, on June 21 (Friday). After this loss at the Super 8 stage against Proteas a Pakistan journalist tried to mock former English captain Michael Vaughan but the reply from the legendary cricketer totally turned the table on him.

Michael Vaughan's befitting reply to Pakistan journalist

A Pakistan journalist posted a picture of the SA vs ENG match and tagged Michael Vaughan. He wrote “What happened bro” with the intention of trolling the English legend. However, the journalist got a stunning reply. Vaughan replied to him by writing “When you make the Super 8s you play good teams .. Like the USA". This was also a hit at the Pakistan team for how they failed to qualify for the Super 8 stages due to losses against the USA and India. Vaughan's reply is now going viral all over the internet at a rapid pace.

England still in race for semi-finals

England fell short by 7 runs while chasing South Africa 163/6. Quinton de Kock won the Player of the Match award for his astonishing knock of 65 runs off 38 balls. However, despite this loss against the Proteas, the Three Lions are very much in the race for the semi-finals. They are set to go one-on-one against the United States and a win against the co-hosts will put them right at the door of the next round.

“Powerplay. Quinton came in with a lot of intent and we couldn't quite match that. We pulled it back and were happy to chase that target but his innings was the difference. We came back well with the ball. Brook and Livingstone had a fantastic partnership to get us close and even look like favourites but credit to South Africa for closing out the game. Really valuable. He's very understanding that you don't get to face many balls in T20 cricket at that positions. He's hitting the ball really well in the nets and backing himself. Looking forward to the next one,” said Buttler after the loss against Proteas.
