Indian left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh etched his name in T20 World Cup history during clash against USA in New York on June 12. He became the first Indian bowler and fourth overall to take a wicket off the very first ball in a T20 World Cup match. Singh's brilliance continued as he dismissed Shayan Jahangir with a well-directed late inswinger that rattled the batsman's pads and resulted in an LBW decision.

In the crucial Group A encounter, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opted to field first after winning the toss against the USA. Both teams are currently tied with a perfect record of two wins each, making this match a virtual knockout for a place in the Super 8 stage.

India chose to maintain the same winning lineup that successfully defended a modest total of 119 runs against Pakistan at this very venue just three days ago.
