Star Indian batter Virat Kohli finally arrived in New Delhi after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title by defeating South Africa at the Kensington Oval. The Men in Blue were stuck in Barbados because of the Hurricane Beryl but were rescued by the special charter plane AIC24WC, which stands for AirIndia Champions24WorldCup which was arranged by BCCI. Upon arrival in New Delhi, the players were welcomed by a massive swarm of fans cheering and chanting their names before they headed towards their hotel. A special surprise was waiting for the Indian legend Kohli at the ITC Maurya Hotel.

Virat Kohli's brother and sister were waiting for the star player at the hotel room with their respective families. Virat spent some time with them and even clicked pictures. He also made them wear his prestigious gold medal. The video and picture of this interaction is now going viral all over the internet.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli cut the cake
Before departing for the PMO house, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and the batting maestro Virat Kohli cut the special cake. A tricolor cake with a World Cup trophy was made to welcome the Indian team by the ITC Maurya Hotel. It was a special three-floor cake with a chocolate-made T20 World Cup trophy on top of it.
Team India to meet PM Modi before leaving for Mumbai
Team India will now be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi before flying to Mumbai where further celebrations will take place. They will be doing a kilometer-long open bus victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium with the T20 World Cup trophy
