India clinch second T20 World Cup 2024
Team India finally ended their 11-year-long trophy drought with their second T20 World Cup title. They became the first undefeated team in history to win the coveted title and also the first team to win all white-ball ICC trophies (T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, Champions Trophy) twice.
The Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision turned out good as they managed to post 176/7 on the scoreboard with the help of an astonishing fifty from Virat Kohli and great cameo knocks from Axar Patel and Shivam Dube. Then during the second innings, Heinrich Klaasen also smashed a blazing fifty and almost took the game away from the Indian team. However, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya's heroics helped India come back into the match and win it by 7 runs.
