Now Rinku has finally revealed the conversation he had with Rohit before joining the Indian team in the US.

Rinku Singh reveals Rohit Sharma's message to him after T20 World Cup 2024 snub

Rinku Singh revealed that he did feel a little bad after missing out on the selection but is now fine as one should not worried about things that are not in their hands. He also talked about how Rohit told him to keep working hard. There's another World Cup in two years.

“Yes, anyone feels a little sad if they are not selected despite good performance. However, this time the selection could not take place due to team combination. No matter what, one should not think too much about what is not in one's hands. Yes, I was a little worried in the beginning. Okay whatever happened. Whatever happens, happens only for good. Rohit bhaiya did not say anything special. All he said was to just keep working hard. There is the World Cup again after two years. There is no need to worry more. That's all he said to me,” Rinku told Dainik Jagran.

Rinku Singh on Rohit's captaincy

Rinku Singh was also asked about Rohit Sharma's captaincy to which he said the whole world is already aware about it. Rinku has only played one series under Rohit's captaincy as for now but was still all praise for the Indian icon.

"The whole world has seen how good his captaincy is. If I talk about me personally, I have done only one tour with them so far. I haven't even talked to him much. He supports the youth a lot. He wants the youth to do well and always says to play and do well," said Rinku.

Rinku also praised the Indian team's atmosphere that supported him during his first time there and now he wants to repay back in whatever possible capacity.

"The team environment is very good. Everyone knows each other. Everyone plays IPL together. When I joined the Indian camp for the first time, the atmosphere was very good. I was new but despite this everyone supported me a lot. I haven't thought anything about playing yet. The only thing on my mind right now is to help the team as much as I can," he added.
