South Africa, Australia, India, West Indies, Afghanistan, United States, England, and Bangladesh have confirmed their spots in the Super 8 stage of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. After many thrilling matches, these 8 sides edged out the other 12 teams to confirm their position in the next round of competition. Earlier, 20 teams were divided into four groups consisting of five teams and now in the Super 8 stage, these remaining 8 teams will be further divided into two groups of four teams each.
Out of these two groups, the four teams finishing on top will collide against each other in the semi-finals. ICC already gave seeded spots to teams in Super 8, two teams of all four groups had a seeded spot from the start of the tournament. However, if any of the eight-seed teams do not reach the Super 8, their place would have been taken by the unseeded team that qualifies. Just like Afghanistan eliminated and took New Zealand's spot in Super 8 as C1 and Bangladesh qualified in place of Sri Lanka as D2.
