Highlights:

India to take on England in the semi-final of T20 World Cup 2024.

Check the Guyana weather forecast.

Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will be competing against Jos Buttler's England in the second semi-final of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, on June 27 (Thursday). This is an extremely crucial game as winning this means a spot in the Final of this mega tournament. Everyone has their eyes on this clash but is also worried that rain and bad weather might play spoilsport during the match proceedings. Both teams will be eyeing a win here to ensure their final qualification.

India has been on an unbeaten and dominant run in the tournament so far. On the other hand, the defending champions, England suffered a couple of hiccups, and they were also in a position to be eliminated from the Group stage itself. Then also in a similar position in the Super 8s.

The Guyana weather forecast predicts thunderstorms and heavy chances of rain. The precipitation chances will go up to 60 per cent, so it will likely play spoilsport. Earlier, a couple of games were abandoned due to rain as well. Hopefully, this won't be the sight during today's game and the match can proceed and have a result even with a few interruptions. We can constantly expect a stop-start type of game. ICC has allotted 250 minutes of extra time to deal with the rain threat and allow the ground staff to get the ground ready.
