The Indian cricket team is all set to arrive in India through a special chartered plane after being stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. The Men in Blue won the prestigious T20 World Cup 2024 title after defeating South Africa and also ended their 11-year-long ICC trophy drought. Now they are set to arrive in New Delhi. Here is what their schedule will be upon arrival.
Team to meet PM Modi
The team is expected to arrive in Delhi at 5 or 6 in the morning after which they will head towards the PMO house and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, this is not the end of their plans as they will be taking a flight to Mumbai afterwards.
Victory parade in Mumbai
Indian cricket team will be doing a kilometer-long open bus victory parade near Wankhede Stadium with the T20 World Cup trophy. This will be followed by a celebration and felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede in the evening. This is India's first ICC trophy after 11 years and the celebration with be equally grand.

Jay Shah and Rohit Sharma urge fans to join in for celebration
Both Jay Shah and Rohit Sharma urged fans to join them in their victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede on 4th July as they celebrate their historic win in the Finals of the T20 World Cup 2024.
"Join us for the Victory Parade honouring Team India's World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date! #TeamIndia," BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote on Twitter
"We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let's celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards. It's coming home," Rohit posted on 'X'.
