There's a lot of buzz going around BCCI's hunt for suitable candidates who can take up the position of the new Indian cricket team's head coach as Rahul Dravid's tenure comes to an end after the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be held in the United States and West Indies. The former Indian cricketer is one of the biggest names going in the air and is reportedly one of the first choices of the Indian board for this role. However, the KKR mentor is yet to apply for the post. Recently, legendary Australian captain Ricky Ponting revealed that BCCI did approach him with the offer to become India's head coach but he had to turn it down as he believes his current lifestyle won't be able to fit in with duty. However, his son did urge him to take the role as they love spending time in India.
