The former Pakistan opener Ahmad Shahzad slammed the Pakistan cricket team after the head coach Gary Kirsten revealed that the team is there is no unity in the Babar Azam-led cricket team instead of supporting each other they are separated. He said that the team is plagued with grouping. The 32-year-old suggested PCB should set an example by giving a strong punishment.
Pakistan are out of the T20 World Cup 2024 after losing their first two matches of the tournament against the United States and India. They last featured against Ireland in their last clash of the marquee event.

“If Gary Kirsten's team talk is true, it's not shocking at all. We have been saying this throughout the World Cup. It's time for accountability, this team is plagued with grouping and crackdown is the only option. The players involved must be punished and an example should be set for next generation of cricketers. PCB chairman must take notice” posted Shahzad.

Gary Kirsten on Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team
After Pakistan's last T20 World Cup outing their head coach Gary Kirsten revealed that he hadn't worked with such a team in the past where players were not supporting each other.
"There's no unity in Pakistan's team. They call it a team, but it isn't a team. They aren't supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I've worked with many teams, but I've never seen such a situation," Kirsten said as per reports quoting a senior scribe.

Pakistan started their World Cup campaign after losing against the United States then they lost their second clash against India after that they won their third match against Canada they got out of the tournament after the clash between US and Ireland washed out. Pakistan played their last T20 World Cup match against Ireland.
