Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock in T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa.

Following India's thrilling T20 World Cup victory over South Africa, superstar batter Virat Kohli expressed his gratitude to his wife Anushka Sharma in a heartfelt message. India secured their second T20 World Cup title on  June 29, defeating the Proteas in the final at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

Kohli himself played a pivotal role in India's triumph. His brilliant knock of 76 runs off 59 balls steadied the ship after a shaky start that saw India lose 3 wickets within the powerplay at just 34 runs.  His crucial innings helped India reach a competitive total of 176/7, which ultimately proved too much for South Africa, who fell short by 7 runs, finishing at 169/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Virat Kohli's heartfelt post for Anushka Sharma

“None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU,” Kohli wrote in his Instagram post.
