After smashing back-to-back fifties in previous two encounters against Netherlands and Bangladesh, KL Rahul attained the equilibrium and crashed in the crunch T20 World Cup semifinal against England on Thursday.

Rahul managed to score just five runs as he was baffled by the bouncer bowled by Chris Woakes and edged the ball towards the wicketkeeper handing England their first wickets.

The 30-year-old faced a strong flak from the netizens as fans started trolling Rahul brutally on Twitter while some wrote he only performs only against minnow teams and chokes before strong sides.

This is how the furious netizens reacted on Rahul's lacklustre knock.

This is Rahul's fourth single digit score in the five games that he has played against top eight-ranked teams in T20 World Cups.

In the 2021 T20 World Cup, he recorded scored of 3 and 18 against Pakistan and New Zealand. While in the ongoing tournament, he registered scores of 4,9 and 5 against Pakistan, South Africa and England.

In the head-to-head record in T20Is, India have the upper hand over England by 12-10. India also hold a 2-1 lead over England in Men’s T20 World Cups and won by a similar margin in the bilateral series played between the two teams in July this year.

KL Rahul, who seemed to find his form during India's previous games against Bangladesh and Netherlands, managed to score only 5 runs in this match as he was decieved by bouncer and edged the ball towards the keeper giving England their first wicket. Netizens were very furious by KL Rahul's low scoring innings and here's how they reacted.
