Watch: On 15th anniversary of his record-breaking night in Durban, Yuvraj Singh relives six 6s with special 'partner'

Yuvraj Singh is arguably one of the finest limited-overs batters India has ever produced. During his prime, the southpaw's sublime bat swing was aesthetic for Indian fans and onlookers, but for opposition bowlers, it was not a pretty sight to be whacked all around the park. On this day 15 years ago, the former Indian cricketer gave a glimpse of his explosive batting and wrote a glorious chapter in Indian cricket.

During the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup, Yuvraj played two outrageous knocks - 12-ball 50 against England and a 70-run knock in 30 balls against Australia. But today marks the 15th anniversary of Yuvraj's 12-ball 50 against the Three Lions, an innings that saw the left-handed batter smash six consecutive sixes in Stuart Broad's over.

Broad, who came to bowl the 19th over, was whacked all around the park with ridiculous ease by the Indian batter as Durban became host to one of the magical moments in T20 cricket history.

On September 19, 2022, Yuvraj relived his heroics with a very special 'partner' and shared a wholesome video on his official Twitter handle. In the post, Yuvraj can be seen watching the video of his six 6s with his son, Orion Keech Singh. “Couldn’t have found a better partner to watch this together with after 15 years,” he wrote on Twitter.

On the back of the southpaw's breathtaking batting, India posted a massive total of 218-4 in 20 overs. The Men in Blue went on to win the game by 18 runs and later clinched the first-ever T20 World Cup title.

Yuvraj Singh, meanwhile, called quits on his remarkable career in 2019. The left-handed batter represented India in 58 matches in T20Is and scored 1,177 runs with the help of eight half-centuries. The left-arm spinner also added 28 wickets to his kitty.
